Today was the first full day of camp and campers started the morning off with several presentations, including a mental toughness exercise, a rules explanation, and good throwing and push-up form demonstrations. They were then able to improve their backhand and forehand throws with the help of counselors before moving into a few drills and a scrimmage. The morning session concluded with all-camp sprints!
During the afternoon session, campers worked on resetting the disc, timing deep cuts, and making effective deep and under cuts. They also had more time to scrimmage, as well as more all-camp sprints. Many of them chose to cool off in the pool during their rec hour.
After dinner, everyone headed off to team night, where the campers found out their tournament teams for the week. They had a great time competing in various competitions for the opportunity to select team colors.
