GUTS Winter Courses 2026
The Global Ultimate Training School is excited to bring back our virtual ultimate course offerings for 2026
Welcome to the fifth year of the Global Ultimate Training School's virtual winter courses!
We are offering 4 distinct virtual courses this year. This will allow us to expand our reach and meet more folks with different interests. All players, captains and coaches are welcome to join all sessions as everyone can be a leader on a team and it’s never too early to learn!
The Final Enrollment Deadlines for each course are the Monday at noon ET before the course. Please reach out to nutc.information@gmail.com if you will need any financial assistance for these courses.
Although we do not anticipate a change in presenters, we reserve the right to change personnel if so needed
These winter classes, the National Ultimate Training Camp, NUTC on the Road, GUTS on the Road are just some of the ultimate enterprises under the umbrella organization of The Global Ultimate Training School "GUTS". Feel free to contact us for any of your ultimate educational needs.
We are using our proceeds to fund scholarships for our overnight camp. We distributed over $6,000 to campers in 2025, the most we have ever given out in our 25-year history. We hope to do the same, if not more, in 2026. We also pay well-deserved stipends to our admins and presenters. If you can, please consider sending an additional donation on top of your enrollment fee to support our scholarship fund.

“Training Your Team to Be Mentally Resilient”
Does your team have trouble with performing consistently? Do your players lose their focus throughout a game? Do you struggle with how to teach the mental part of competition? If you answered yes to any of these questions, this class could be for you!
Ultimate coaches and captains often focus on teaching skills, drills and strategy to their teams. While the physical aspects of team building are important, developing a strong mental game is essential to reach consistent success, no matter what kind of team you coach. Being part of a team that values mental training often makes the physical game easier, effective and more fun.
Tiina and Tim will explain the foundational pieces of mental resilience and how to train individuals and your team to excel with this program. They will provide exercises and drills that will work to bring your team to the next level.
This course is designed for leaders of middle school, high school, college and club teams. It will be recorded and available to participants after the course.
NEW! Each participant can schedule two follow-up 30-minute calls with Tiina or Tim this spring. Teaching this program to your team often has common challenges and we look forward to helping you navigate them. These calls are included in the price of the course.

“FMP Grassroots Summit”
It is no secret that FMP divisions in the US are struggling in terms of numbers, support and development. Recovery from Covid has been slow and frustrating for many programs and communities. This panel will feature organizers who have made significant strides in growing FMP divisions at all levels, in spite of the common barriers they face. They will share their experiences and advice to help us improve the FMP experience, both locally and beyond.

“College Recruiting Panel”
Every session at NUTC, campers and parents are greeted with a sign that says, “Colleges Represented at Camp This Week.” We encourage staff to answer any questions about playing opportunities beyond high school and our alumni counselors are eager to share and recruit.
This panel opens this experience to more high school athletes who may not attend our camp. Discussions will be led by players, alums and coaches of about a dozen schools from around the country. We will have reps from both Div 1 and Div 3 who will be happy to answer any questions. Parents are most welcome at this session.
Ultimate may not be an NCAA sport but we do understand the importance of making the right match for aspiring players. We hope this panel will help inform these decisions for many years to come!

“Coaching 101” (NEW)
Our sport needs more coaches, particularly at the youth level. Ultimate is still such a young sport so there is no large pool of experienced adults to draw from. This course is designed to train those adults who may want to coach but who need to learn the basics of developing and leading a team.
Luisa and Tim will show you how to grow and sustain a team that players will want to join. From a supportive culture to efficient practices to healthy competition, these experienced coaches will share best practices with this next generation of coaches. Participants will have the tools for success and the confidence to coach when they finish with this class.
Coaching 101 is designed for leaders of middle school, high school, and college teams. It will be recorded and available to participants after the course.
